STAND FOR COURAGE’s EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ON KEXP’S MORNING SHOW
“SFC’s student-led, school-based, and community activations offers one ultimate goal: disrupt and end the cycle of bullying by celebrating stand-up bystanders with the support of media recognition and luminary partners.”
COURTNEY LOVE WARDROBE SALE, SUPPORT TO SFC
“You’re partnering with your sister’s foundation, Stand For Courage, which helps stop bullying in schools. Did you get bullied as a kid?
Are you kidding? Of course I did. I’ve dealt with a lot of bullying, and my siblings have all had experiences with it, too–all of us were bullied in some way or another. My sister Nicole wants to eradicate that with teens and younger kids. It’s timely. It’s good. It also effects #metoo and because the fact that [#metoo] is still happening and still being perpetuated, that sucks. There’s a need for this right now.”
SFC: A FRESH APPROACH TO SOCIAL ACTIVISM
“Stand for Courage is about changing the paradigm, that kindness should dominate and be the vehicle to make that shift. We should not be okay with simply blending into the background as something terribly wrong goes on around us. In our often buried selves, we know better. SFC offers a solution that could just be revolutionary.”
lise evans & DONNA KARAN EXPRESS SUPPORT FOR STAND FOR COURAGE
“Nicole’s teachings are all about character stemming from the way that we treat others, a message that Evans desperately wants to scream from the rooftops.”
