Mary Bettencourt Horvitz is the Founding director of the Art of Life Institute, a Seattle-Based non-profit organization centering on education, awareness, and decision making on health and wellbeing. She received an MBA degree from the University of Washington and, more recently, a certificate in Decision Education from Stanford University. She held positions at IBM before building her own businesses, where she served as president of Francisco Diamond Imports and the Diamond Broker of Los Altos, CA. Following the sale of her businesses, she has been active with providing support and guidance to non-profit organizations focusing on educational programs for children.
